Can anyone explain to me the concept of magic through a philosophical perspective? Does anyone have an online resource where it can be discussed philosophically? I don't really care about summoning spirits or succubi or potions or any of that D&D campaign crap. What i'm looking for is something similar to this:

Apparently the meaty part of the document is filled with numerology and cryptograms and I want to be able to decipher it properly. Reading the thing in itself is fascinating and according to David Tibet of Current 93 (added him on facebook) and another facebook friend of his, studying this magic will only lead to harm, but the funny thing is that FB friend of Tibet was the one who linked me to that accursed tome and now I'm hooked. Any Crowleyan entities willing to push me further down the path? I only pray that self-study leads to nothing but more knowledge, rather than my downfall.

You could check out Henry Cornelius Agrippa - Three Books Of Occult Philosophy

http://darkbooks.org/pp.php?v=2063314371

They are intense to say the least though, written in the 1500's so the language is... interesting to say the least.

I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for or not OP... but I hope its helpful.

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Do not read this book.

Remember, There is no law beyond Do what thou wilt.
