But I'm curious. Has anyone else played with the crappy 'ghost hunting' apps on an iphone/smartphone? I have one that is called 'ghost radar' that has a vox function. It's a nifty novelty but any experience with use/credence given? I'd LOVE a real vox unit but can't afford one = (. I have another from Paranormal State that supposedly turns your iphone into an emf reader but I don't believe it. I'm NOT saying these work or sponsoring them, just wondered what ya'll thought.

I don't think the phone has the sensors for a "real" detection capacity.

it looks good for student movies, youtube viral projects and other such usages, I guess.

I didn't either. Theoretically I could see how a vox app could possibly work, but still...doubt it. Just trying to stimulate some board activity/ fun topic.

I downloaded it at one point out of curiosity. For the most part it really didn't do anything convincing although there was one moment which made me a little wide-eyed.

I was sitting in a chair that my dad had gotten from his now ex-girlfriend. It was sort of a recliner, used to be her dad's (he's still alive)
anyways I was sitting in that chair messing around with the app when it said "Chair" followed by "Get up" then "Mine"

Quite honestly I believe it was a coincidence, and I don't personally believe in ghosts, but take it as evidence if you so choose.

No, but I'm tempted to download one once I get my hpone fixed.

I had the ghost radar as well. It spouted some words every now and then, but they were always incoherent babble. I think if you were to test the legitimacy of the EMF reader itself, hold it next to something that you know generates an EMF field. See if it fluctuates more around a radio then a door. See if a microwave makes the readings go higher than the radio, etc.

I got rid of mine as it was cluttering up space or I would try and test it.

It is a fun app though.

I think that the emf thing is a sham. I still have some hope about the vox lthing though, I can see how theoretically it could work effectively. I've gotten some interesting results, but mostly gibberish. I've yet to 'actually' test it due to time constraings. But I will son.
