I need help trying to identify the following ritual... maybe it sounds like something you've heard of?
The ritual went like this: a sigil drawn in a piece of paper with an item that symbolized its intent (love; drawn with red lipstick), a sip of red wine was drunk, then the piece of paper was set alight and the ashes mixed with the red wine. the wine was then used to draw lines in the practitioner's face, and after that it was drunk. this was done in full moon night, halloween.
Up to the piece of paper being set on fire it reads like petition magic. The lines? No idea.

I don't think it's an actual codified ritual or anything: it sounds more like someone just wanted to do some sigil magick/petitioning with some flair that they made up themselves. The bf mentioned that he's done sigil magick where he burned the sigil, mixed it with wine and drank it as a kind of nod to the Eucharist.
This is not a joke, troll, or pasta, this is serious matter.
First, a story. 3 months ago some coward(s) murdered one of my friends in cold blood. So far the corrupt local law enforcement has done nothing about it, and won't do anything about it. The case is growing cold, and most of the evidence has been dumped. I'm a regular posting member of the site, but would rather not have my name attached to this post. I don't know who is watching.
Normally, I wouldn't turn to /sanc/ to inquire about something this serious, but anything is worth a shot. I want to know if any of you readers, sorcerers, magicians whatever can help me glean anything. I don't want cold readings or generalizations I want to know if you can give me anything useful. Or possibly create or help me create tulpas/thoughtforms or if any of you consort with demons or other entities to glean information or torment those responsible.

im curious, i want to try this, and i realize /sanc/ isnt as active as it once was, but i wanna know about astral projection, the feeling, the ability, and how to do it mostly. its always interested me among other things to try. and could my sigil tattoo be a problem?
I want to try to arrange some sort of deal with an otherworldly entity, but nothing so extreme as to sell my soul. In short, I'm not a tall guy but I want to be. I was cheated out of being tall (being 8 inches shorter than every other guy in my family) for some reason, and I considered using something like Messeth to gain some height.
So how do I make an exchange for whatever in return for being tall?

That kind of depends firstly on your definition of physical manipulation other than the obvious. The human brain is capable of an immeasurable influence on your perception of reality, even tactile. Do I think that some sort of entity can actually touch me physically? Harm me? I'm going to say I doubt it.
Due to my beliefs of what entities mainly are, for me there are 3 possibilities: ghostly entities, demonic, or even angelic. As far as ghosts go it's my opinion following research and experience that all ghostly activity is in some form or another residual, even if something seems intelligent and sentient it is just a shard of that person (if you will) While they are able to manifest 'feelings' like temperature changes and such physical interaction is exceedingly rare. Given it's so easy to fake and false positives until I experience it myself, I'd say no. To me it seems that haunting work on an energy system of some sort where it takes x amount of 'energy' to perform x action, irregardless if it's auditory, or a full apparition. The amount of energy needed to manifest anything at all seems to be...
How many of you actually believe in half of the things that are talked about in here. I ask because while I think some of it is credible, most of it just sounds so incredibly fake. I'm sorry if this seems rude or out of place, I'm just thoroughly confused as to how some of you seem to know what it is you are talking about, while others of you do nothing but spout what appears to be nonsense. So, yea... I'm willing to discuss things in a rational manner, but mainly I want to learn. So, why?
Just chiming in for the same. I would say the only ting that all of us would have in common is that we share a sense that paranormal or othernormal activity is legitimate, albeit in different ways.

For some time now I have been considering the creation of a website or blog which gathers, organizes, and documents knowledge and research in the occult and esoteric. I've been planning on doing this both because there is a distinct lack of reputable sites on such matters, and because I have yet to find any sort of active forum (I mean, even sanc is practically dead) for the purpose.
The idea would be that this site would act as an academic journal of sorts: Entries submitted would be properly edited, and would be put under the scrutiny of peer review. Naturally, it would be wrong to say that I am the BEST person for such a job as reviewing any entries the site would get, but until I am able to verify the capability of others that would need to be the case.
My question is: Would you be interested in it? Would you make use of the site? Would you submit journals, studies, etc?

To be honest, if I'm looking for a good spook I usually go browsing on wikipedia. There's a real problem defining between 'real occult' and 'pseudo-occult', and wikipedia gets it all because it tolerates them both. An academic journal would require academic resources, something that can be in short supply.
I mean, if you really want to go ahead do it, but most people won't like to see all their favorite fears and horrors suddenly debunked by an academic know-it-all. A better project would be to approach some ufo-hunters or something and document their experiences as a wiki. At least on that ground people would view your work positively and respect your efforts, and you'll get involved with something you like.
this sounds wonderful, i will help to the best of my ability. however i would like to know how you plan on organizing it.
i would like to see it be fairly neutral as well to some degree so it does not state only views that oppose or support a topic. in other words, add both to fully collect all information as well as questions left to be answered.
Long time /x/ poster here. As many of you know /x/ usually has a lot of threads asking how to summon a succubus. Recently I have become curious as to the nature of a Succubus and weather I could actually summon one. So does /sanc/ know how?
I don't really know what I'm looking for, but basically any way to summon one that has been proven to work or has been around for a long time. Thanks.

I thought the idea was that you didn't choose a Succubus, but it chose you and drained all your lifeforce out of you until you were dead, and that it took the form of an old crone, not an anime character.
